Raising Daughters: Lessons from the Upbringing of Maryam AS & Fatimah RA

 

It is our dream to empower parents with knowledge so that we all can bring up our children with informed choices. Raising Daughters: Lessons from the Upbringing of Maryam AS & Fatimah RA is a 4-week online course that is inspired by the lives and upbringing of two of the most honoured women in Islam. Their characters, values and humility are things that we want our daughters to emulate and uphold as they go through the challenges of this world. 

However, we are also aware that the challenges facing our little girls are so different from the ones which faced previous generations. How then can we try to help our girls navigate their way through all the hurdles that they will face while maintaining their identity as strong and pious Muslim women? All this and more will be covered in our course.

In this course, you will get access to downloadable audio lessons and the transcripts, so that you can listen to it anytime and anywhere. There is no geographical restriction with this online class.

Starting 18 October 2021, for 4 Mondays in a row, you will be sent 2 audio files and the transcripts to your email. You can download the files and listen to them at your own pace. At the end of the week, on Sundays, 10-11am, there will be a LIVE online reflection session where we will discuss the week's lessons and reflection questions with you. We will be using the Zoom app, which is downloadable on your phone, laptop, tablet and computer.

Monday, 25 October: 2 audio files + 2 transcripts will be sent to your email (to be completed at your own convenience)

Sunday, 31 October: A live reflection session will take place via Zoom to discuss the week's theme (10am-11am)

Week 3:

Challenges facing our girls in the 21st century

Monday, 1 November: 2 audio files + 2 transcripts will be sent to your email (to be completed at your own convenience)

Sunday, 7 November: A live reflection session will take place via Zoom to discuss the week's theme (10am-11am)

Week 4:

Raising our girls in modern times

Monday, 8 November: 2 audio files + 2 transcripts will be sent to your email (to be completed at your own convenience)

Sunday, 14 November: A live reflection session will take place via Zoom to discuss the week's theme (10am-11am)
